I stand by my original review but after using this product for the 2nd season now I have developed some additional cons.
Here are some additional cons. I often find myself wishing the heat from the wrist warmers would better transfer from the jacket to my body. People wearing multiple layers underneath the jacket and can be challenging to begin benefiting from the heat. I have smaller arms and wrist causing the heating elements not to be pressed to my arm. They must be tight against the arm to benefit. The tension straps on the wrist do not tighten enough. You run out of material to adhere and tighten the straps if you have smaller arms or wrists resulting in less heat transferred to your body. Gun season this year (2015) was big upset. The jacket created too much noise. The material inside the jacket that encases the components creates too much noise in a situation where you need to be quiet as possible. During archery season this is not much of a big deal because your bow does not touch the jacket. During gun season your rifle is pressed against the shoulder area or other areas. The hard plastic ring around the "heat button" causes noise when occasionally contacted by a rifle. Lastly, I wish I had the option to turn on some additional heat elements on other key areas of the jacket to give that burst of heat to keep you in the game.
MyCoreControl is a great brand and ran by some really nice people. I trust that they will hear product reviews as they come in and make changes accordingly to their product line. They make a great jacket but it will take more to meet the needs of a hunter for this product to be worn while hunting in some situations. I will continue to have this as an option while archery hunting but will have to substitute another jacket during rifle season.
I used this product last night but I never had to turn it on, it was 35 degrees
nice our review will be up in 2 weeks just waiting for some cold weather to roll in to put it threw the ringer so to say, cant wait
