Here's one for you guys out getting the bunnies.

Made a batch last week and was delicious... Served it with a bowl of my home made wild rice and turkey soup.

Heat the oven up to 300 degrees... While the oven is warming, mix all ingredients (cut up butter into smaller chunks) in a sauce pan over medium high heat, and bring to a boil... Once boiling simmer on medium low for about 10 minutes. (Don't worry if sauce doesn't thicken much, it will when cooking in oven.

While sauce is simmering, lay rabbit pieces evenly in a shallow baking dish, once sauce is done simmering, pour into pan.

Place in oven (middle rack) for 3 hours, you can "turn" the rabbit pieces every 30 minutes, I just use tongs and stir everything around.

You will see the sauce thicken as it cooks creating a nice bbq sauce.

start checking the tenderness around the 2 and a half hour mark, and cook to desired tenderness (I usually go for 3) this allows the sauce to thicken and stick nicely.

Remove from oven and serve.
